Easton RS 2

Rumors have been coming in about a possible new RS Stick from Easton.

After the Stealth (S19,S17) Line being criticized for its durability Easton, so to speak stepped up their game and came out with the RS and it's all black matte finish.  Many people loved the pop in the stick and the great feel and of course not to mention the hard and quick shot release it had however, again many people had the same problem with the Easton Stealth RS as the did with the S19 or S17, The blade and bottom portion of the stick had a tendency to break quite easily with the most common break to be a crack along the bottom of the blade.

Fast Forward to today and Easton on their twitter account (@Easton_Hockey) released the above photo...

Easton has not yet released any information on this other than that they will have a new addition to the Stealth Line this YEAR! We are set to assume that this stick has addressed these problems and has improved its durability but we will let you know when we know more about the RS 2.

Update: We can now confirm that their will be a Easton RS 2 a few moments ago another photo was tweeted by an Easton intern, revealing that "The Easton RS 2 Best Stick I've ever used"
Here was the intern's tweet "2nd time using the RS ll. Best stick I've played with so far. Thanks to for sending them too me"
Now we can only guess that the stick will look like this as an end product to be sold to the public however, don't be surprised if the cosmetics do slightly change as CCM did the same marketing with their RBZ and Gabriel Landeskog and the stick ended up going from all white to black, white and red. So the new question is do you like the new design and can you see yourself swapping out one of your twigs for this new Easton RS 2?

The Stick is set to be released sometime in September and we will keep you updated each time we hear something new!

Update 2: Easton Hockey has another new release on the stick saying it will be released September 7th and that they hope they have addressed the problems that were sustained with the S19/S17 (Break in lower part of shaft) and the RS (Break on the bottom of the blade)
